a couple of days ago i used CCleaner to clean up space on the computer, and to fix any registry issues.
the next day when i turned the computer on, bios would get as far as the xp loading screen, then reboot itself, and ask me to try loading safe mode etc. i chose "last good config", and got into the computer fine. the same problem happened again the next day, but this time, the last good config didnt work, rebooting yet again. i tried safe mode but that didnt work, then i tried safe mode with networking, and got in. i changed the system restore point to 4 days ago, and the computer rebooted ok, but then came up with a message saying the restore didnt work. But about 4 mins later this came up-

"The system has recovered from a serious error"
Error signature

Does this mean the computer is OK now? what should i do in the future?

In the future if you continue to get problems like this you could run an XP repair install using an xp installation cd.

Download one. The media is fine as long as your license is genuine :)

Beware though, theres more than a good chance that either your RAM, or HDD is going the way of the dodo.
